Brian and Gretchen sitting in a tree. . .

We are getting married on Sunday, June 20th at 5pm. Why is this day important? Two reasons: Solstice and Father's Day. One of our favorite days of the year to soak up hot springs and barbeque with friends is solstice, but more importantly Father's Day is a great way to honor the new role Brian is taking on. You do not just become a father because you have children, but Brian has truly become Zelodine's father. I hope you will be able to join us for this event.

About us

Brian is an Arborist and has his own business called Treepeople. He has been working as an arborist in the Portland area for 16 years.

Gretchen is a kindergarten teacher with Portland Public Schools. She has been teaching in one capacity or another for 12 years.

As a family we love to go on long hikes and bike rides. We like exploring the woods looking for mushrooms and great swimming holes. We spend a lot of time outdoors so no wonder one of our favorite urban places is Hoyt Arboretum.

Brian is a mountain mover. He can create almost anything with his bare hands. From sky lights to rock walls there is nothing he won't tackle.

Gretchen likes to draw, sew and garden.

We both love to cook and we have been exploring vegetarian cooking.
